The stupid move to hybrids.
Now, I've seen a part of an article in the Straits Times that they have plans to change the diesel buses in Sentosa to hybrid ones. Really? Now, on the outside, it may seem a hybrid's pretty amazing. But, my friends. NO. First of all, hybrids are extremely complex stuff/machinery/tech which incurs cost. You'll say, the fuel consumption might balance the cost out. Oh please. First of all, we're not talking about cruising at a high speed on the expressway. We're talking about stop start traffic and a bus accelerates a lot. And diesels have more torque and pulling power (compared to a hybrid) so in the end, when you accelerate harder with the hybrid engine, it defeats the purpose of saving fuel. Plus they never ever match the manufacturer's claims so... Yeap. Stick with the diesels please. After the bus is scrapped what happens? The battery and everything will pollute the Earth with all their chemical stuff and whatnot. So, please, please SMRT. A reader of car magazines knows much more than a reader of commercials/advertisements. Stick with the diesels is all I'm saying. Plus, why fix it if it ain't broke? No one complained about the diesel.About the Grammys - Haven't watched it yet. Surprised Gaga won only 2. Taylor and Beyonce would win it was so obvious. (Predictable..) And of course, the only American Idol alum that had the highest chance of winning a Grammy was Carrie Underwood. She seems to be the default choice when we say "Country music". Plus, I thought Keri Hilson was gonna win New Artist. Guess not. Taylor does not deserve album of the year for Fearless. It all seems to tarnish the good reputation of the awards. And never look at the sales to see if an album's good or not. I mean it's just that sales aren't indicative of talent. On the red carpet, I wish they showed more artists. J.Lo looked okay, Ke$ha looked (thank goodness) presentable, Gaga, rather predictable she'd show up in something whacky, Katy Perry, okay, and Rihanna, what's up with the feathers?
So, the C Boys have made it to the semi-finals according to Coach and well, it turns out some of them have really improved since competition started. Adam's spiking is quite good, Zhang Wei and Jonathan are quite good too, so, that played a part in us winning the matches.
And my new maid recently came (so I no longer have to wash my dishes/shoes) so that's something to be happy about. =) I just hope she doesn't become wild all of a sudden. Right now, she's pretty shy/demure whatever stuff you can describe with like all maids who just start their new job. Oh well, one can only hope.
I haven't been updating because I've been so busy. AGHHH. Science test on Thursday. I'll mug, trust me I will. I will not clock in another failure for any test from now on. NEVER.
